Depending on how the map is used and your preferences, a different terrain view may be more suitable. That’s why Top-O-Map offers several map styles.
You can explore the topographic map and the relief map right here on this page – move, zoom and search for places.
Want to explore the maps in even more detail? Go right ahead. At onlinetopomap.de you can view the maps directly in your browser – with every zoom level and for regions all over the world.
The topographic map shows the terrain in detail with contour lines and a wealth of geographic information. Mountains, valleys, elevation changes, trails, waterways and other landscape features are clearly visible.
You can choose between the standard high-resolution map and the high-resolution map with large labels. Simply switch using the map selection button in the top right corner of the map.
The relief map shows landforms particularly vividly. Thanks to the three-dimensional shading, mountains, valleys and elevation differences become visible at a glance.
This view is especially well suited to exploring landscapes visually and makes the structure of the terrain quick to grasp.
The 3D map gives a particularly vivid view of the terrain. Elevations and landforms are shown in three dimensions and can be viewed from different perspectives.
This lets you explore landscapes, mountain ranges and striking landforms in a particularly intuitive way.
Tilting the 3D map is easy: on desktop, hold down the right mouse button (or Ctrl + left mouse button) and move the mouse up or down. On a smartphone or tablet, simply drag two fingers up or down at the same time.
